The casters are produced using the highest grade material. The casters include the latest technology of adding an intelligent braking system which reduces the chair from gliding too far away when the user stands. In addition to that, they are with the quiet roll and roll away resistance feature.
The casters can fit all versions of Aerons, Embody, Celle, Sayl, Mirra, etc. They can also be used on other brands that has a similar stem that plugs into the bottom frame.
Casters are often the first thing to break, this explains on our emphasis in getting the best casters so users won’t have much issues. The original hard casters that come with the chair, were deemed by many customers to wear off too quickly. Even the local distributor no longer offered them and advised users to stick to carpet casters even on the hard floor. This is not advisable as carpet casters are hard plastic wheels and can easily scratch or damage the floor. After searching for a number of years, we had switched to a new producer that can assure us of much better quality and durability. We were informed that the original casters that came with the Classic Aerons were made in China.
Hardened and broken hard casters may damage flooring..
Below are some photos of the original hard casters broken in a matter of years.
Most compatible hard casters sold anywhere will have the same issue as most are produced by the same manufacturing companies in China, using the same recycled material.
The ones that we carry, are fully engineered to fit the Herman Miller chairs perfectly. They are made in Germany, made by a company that does nothing but only specialize in manufacturing casters. Made with fresh and first-grade material that is of the best durability. They are expected to last much longer. They cost almost FIFTY times more than typical China-made casters.
Reduce scratching the floor.
All hard floors are supposed to use only hard floor casters. The hard casters have a polyethene coating to reduce scratching the floor. Particularly vinyl, laminates, wooden floors and other softer flooring.
These casters can also roll on carpet and are versatile for any flooring.
Very quiet and stable
The manufacturer invented a new metal stem with double securing rings to make the casters quieter. They have also redesigned the metal stem that connects the caster to the chair. It is now shorter which promotes better stability.
Less likely to stain the floor
The wheels are made of a new material, engineered in Germany. Which makes it unlikely to deform, disintegrate and leave any stains on the floor.
The manufacturer revamped the design and included an internal braking system which makes the chair less likely to glide far away when the user stands up. When no one is seated on the chair, there will be some friction to prevent the wheels from rolling too much. When the user sits, the chair will regain its full mobility. This design won international industrial awards and is patented. We introduced this before Herman Miller later introduced for their newer chairs.
Mirra® 2 Chair
Caper® Multipurpose Chair
and other office ranges using the same casters
We also found out that they work with Steelcase® Think chair and Vitra® office chairs. Which suggest that they are probably compatible with their other range as long as it fits.
You can pull out the caster of your chair, and check if it has a similar stem
How to replace?
To make sure that the casters last longer. Do not allow the casters to have contact with aggressive floor cleaning agents or exposed to excessive sunlight.
All casters are protected by a three years warranty
